Having a Cool Engine is Important when you Drive

Keeping the vehicle cool will help prevent any severe issues as you drive this summer. If you notice that the temperature gauge is increasing, you will want to prevent it from going into the red. As it gets higher, there is a greater chance the engine will overheat. When this happens, you will have a delay in your trip to repair your vehicle. So make sure that you are aware of the signs of it getting too warm. You should also bring the vehicle in for regular maintenance inspections so we can check parts for you. If there is a leak or issue, we can locate and repair it before it becomes worse.

Coolant checks are needed

You will want to make sure there is enough coolant in the reservoir of your vehicle. If it is low, make sure to refill it. Also be aware if it goes down frequently, as this can mean there is a leak. You should also make sure to check the condition of the coolant. If it is less than ideal, a coolant flush could be beneficial for your vehicle. You can also bring the vehicle in and we can do that for you.

A Cool Engine is important

If the engine starts to overheat, try to keep it cool by following some tips. Turning off the air conditioner and turning on the heater can benefit it. This will help remove the heat away from the engine so it can cool down faster. If you do this, you will want to open the windows of your vehicle so the interior does not get too warm. Also pull the vehicle over as soon as you can and then turn it off. You will want to wait several minutes to allow it to cool down. If the vehicle starts overheating frequently, schedule an appointment with us.
