In the fall, there are several things you should do to help keep your vehicle operating efficiently. You will want to make sure that your vehicle is always brought in for proper maintenance inspections and checks. These tasks that need to be performed can range from an oil change, to tire rotation, to an overall check of your vehicle. Make sure you contact us and we can recommend a schedule that your vehicle should be brought in at.

Check the Lights

Fall is the time of the year you will probably need to use your lights more. This is because of it getting darker earlier. A good rule of thumb to follow is if you need to use the windshield wipers, then your lights should be on as well. This will help you to be seen when you drive in fog, rain, sleet, or snow. You will also want to make sure that your blinkers or turn signals are working as well. Checking these can be quick and easy, just park in a safe place. You can get out and check the headlights and taillights. Turn the turn signals on and you can get out to check those as well. If a bulb has gone out, schedule an appointment so we can replace it for you.

Remember the Wipers

Also make sure that the windshield wipers are inspected during this time as well. The wipers are needed to remove any precipitation and road grime that could be on your windshield. If the wipers are in less than ideal condition, then you will have problems with your visibility when you are driving. The rubber part of the blade should be free of any cracks, rips, or damage that might be done to it. If there is an issue, make sure that you have them replaced as soon as possible.
