Driving

Driving during the summer can cause some wear and tear to your vehicle. This could include a battery that fails. The heat of the summer can do more damage to the battery than the colder winter does. If the vehicle is getting difficult to start, there could be an issue with the battery, alternator, or starter. You will want to make sure that you bring your vehicle in so we can inspect it for what might be causing this issue. This will help your vehicle to be reliable when you need to drive it. You should also make sure to come in for regular maintenance inspections based on the recommended schedule. If you are not sure how often this should be, make sure to call us and we will advise you on a schedule.

Check tires before driving

The first thing to check are the tires. They are the most important part of your vehicle because they are the only part that makes contact to the surface of the road when you drive. The tires should have the air pressure checked to ensure they are properly inflated. Summer and extreme heat can do damage to the tires if you do not inspect them properly. They can get dry rot, especially if the vehicle sits for long lengths of time without moving. If you are not sure of the condition the tires are in, make sure to call us and we can set up an appointment to have them inspected.

Windshield wipers

The windshield wipers are also important for your vehicle. These help you to see the road when you drive. It will clear away any road grime or rain that is on the windshield. If you notice an issue with them, they should be replaced immediately. This will help to improve your visibility when you are driving down the road.
