In the spring you will want to make sure that vehicle is in the best condition possible. Over the winter salt, road grime, and other chemicals are on the road. As you drive, these will then go under your vehicle and start to build up. With time, this can lead to rust under your vehicle as well. It is always recommended to get your car washed on a regular basis. After winter, choose a car wash that will also do the undercarriage of your vehicle as well. When your vehicle is washed and the salt is removed, it will help prolong the exterior life of the vehicle.

Check Tires

After the winter, you will also want to check the tires on your vehicle. The tires are the only part that makes contact with the surface of the road, so they will have the most impact. Driving over snow drifts or a build up of ice can affect the condition of the tires. If you hit these too hard, you can do damage to the sidewalls of the tires. It may even result in the alignment being off for your vehicle. The best maintenance thing you can do is to bring the vehicle in so we can inspect the tires for you.

Inspect the Brakes

The brakes should also be inspected. Over the winter, they can wear and start to deteriorate. If there is any damage, we can make sure to have the brakes repaired as quickly as possible. As rust will eat away at the car, it will also start to damage to the brakes as well. You might notice rusted brakes if they are not responding properly. You may also hear some squealing or screeching noise from them as you apply them. No matter what the issue is, the brakes should always be inspected.
